Earthman Embassy - February 6, 2009 8:59 AM
http://www.myspace.com/earthmanembassy Earthman Embassy, formerly "24-hour miracle" began in late '06 when pianist George Zeitler and Guitarist Ben Taylor started playing open mic's at a local coffee shop near their school, Colgate University. Since then the band has added Mike Petersen on bass and has had a number of drummers, all of whom have died in rather unfortunate gardening accidents...except Tommy, who as far as I know is still quite alive. Anyway, over the summer of '07 George and Ben hit up the studio and recorded their first two demos entitled "Kingdoms of Secrecy" and "Rocketship." Being that bassist Mike lives in middle-earth during the summer months, Anil Sharma, (you may have heard of him from the Planestop amongst other musical experiments) stood in as a "studio" bassist. The band has played various gigs around the Hamilton Metropolitan Area, even opening for the great "Tally Hall" at Donovan's Pub and also the world famous "Harry and the Potters" last year at the Colgate Bookstore. In the 2007-2008 school year the band completed a full demo album aptly entitled "Demonstrations." The CD is available now so just ask a band member and we'll get one your way. Earthman Embassy is generally described as "refreshing" and fans often have trouble finding other bands to compare them to. The band recently played at Funk'n Waffles in Syracuse, NY.
