Regarding the posts below:
I believe your arguments are not well founded. In fact, I am the soundman for most of the Mezzanotte shows and would appreciate your direct feedback. Feel free to contact me directly via the "contact us" link on SyracuseLiveMusic.com or via myspace, where you can find SyracuseLiveMusic as well. Just so it's loud and clear, my sound company is 100% separate of Hollerback Productions. Dan doesn't know sound, doesn't claim to know sound, and your dissatisfaction surprises me. I usually get 99% positive responses when it comes to my services.
As for the covers- I can assure you that the musicians are paid fair, previously agreed-upon rates. As for the drinks...the bar does NOT back Hollerback Productions' events (this is a sad, sad thing for us all). However, the bartenders at Mezzanotte are always top-notch and, if you got a weak drink, it's usually because you're already smashed and don't need a lot more.
So, there you have it. If you have an opinion to share, do one of two things: 1) share your opinion at the show, like a man or 2) contact the individuals after the show, like a man.

what a bunch of bums... your sound quality sucks as bad as your name.you got that huge board and decent equipment and you dont even know how to run it. find another occupation

Dont charge a cover, then make patrons pay 9 dollars for a weak mixed drink. either pay the bands with some of the bar, or with the cover. dont discourage people from coming with your ridiculous prices. I can go to armory or somewhere else and get a drink for a 1/4 the price in just as nice a bar with live music. its assinine

I agree with "Concerned Citizen"-
dan/hollerback (what a joke) is bilking working musicians and Mezzanotte doesn't usually pay even scale for working musicians. I stopped playing there years ago, and both my groups have a great following. Creepy dan and Mezzanotte are part of the problem-live music in CNY will continue to suffer because of their ilk.

Description: "The Goonies", a local hip hop band are holding their first CD release party at Mezzanote Lounge! T-shirts and ringtones will also be available! Come early, due to limited supplies of cds and t-shirts. The Goonies will also be performing during this event, material will include all the songs on the album as well as new material and possibly some cover(s).
The afterparty will also include some top 40 music for your listening pleasure, as well as an opportunity to get your cd signed by Clam Weezy and Illumination!
