EL KA BONG
El Ka Bong is a Psychedelic Latin/Reggae/Jam group from the Finger Lakes Region of New York State. What began as little more than a joke side group, El Ka Bong has evolved into 7 artist's ambitious, genre defying project of a lifetime. Since their conception, EKB has opened for several national acts including John Browns Body, Gym Class Heroes, Ra Ra Riot, Government Mule, Umphrey's McGee, Donna the Buffalo, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, The Rubblebucket Orchestra, Dr Jah and the Love Prophets, and the Mambo Kings.
They have been busy touring the festival scene and have entertained audiences at ScottyPaluza, Musefest, and Sterling Stages Last Daze of Summer Festival. Expect tour dates for the Summer of 2010.
El Ka Bong has been preparing a 5 song EP, which they hope will be released by the summer of 2010. Please send emails with possible titles and cover art ideas/artwork! EKB wants all of you to be a part of the process.
